Sugar + Style studio fashion lookbook

It’s not a secret how much I prefered to shoot outside and on location. Studio work never seemed as appealing, even intimidating and scary. However, it’s true that only through practice and doing it a lot it starts to be more comfortable. So today I have another studio fashion lookbook shoot for Sugar + Style to show which I do like the results of.

For this shoot we went for really warm background to go with model Shenan’s lovely red hair and I love it. As a result, it feels so like beginning of autumn to me. I really enjoyed retouching the beauty close ups as well – Shenan has such a porcelain doll look. (Anyone else sees a tiny bit of resemblance to Emily Browning? Something reminds me of Baby Doll from Sucker Punch, maybe some of the cute outfits add to it too).

The studio set up I used (which I do very often) was with only two studio lights. One huge octobox in front of the model pointing down at an angle (45 degrees or so) and another regular softbox on the background. I also used were polyboards on the sides to stop the light spreading out too much. If you are interested in this, I post reels on my instagram where you can see set ups better. Follow me there to see more!
